Jay, Charlotte

Charlotte Jay was the pseudonym of Australian author Geraldine Halls (1919-1996). She was born in Adelaide South Australia and educated at the University of Adelaide. She married Albert James Halls and worked as a secretary and court stenographer before travelling overseas and starting an oriental antique import business in England. She returned to Adelaide in 1971. Jay specialised in mysteries set in exotic locations. Under her own name she wrote one crime novel and some 'straight' fiction.
